WITH one sweet swish of his left boot and delicate application of instep to orb, Michael Owen was back. He preened himself before his new clubs supporters and they sang the chorus they had been storing since Sir Alex Ferguson signed him: Are You Watching Merseyside? Manchester United were also back, finding true form for the first time this season.

How inevitable it happened at Wigan. They have faced Fergusons team 10 times since reaching the top flight and lost each time with a ulative goal difference of -26. If this was cricket, they would be known as Uniteds rabbit.

In fairness, Wigan did not do their Flopsy Bobtail act until 11 minutes into the second half, when Wayne Rooney scored his 100th goal for United with a sharp and decisive header, to jolt his team out of their early-campaign lethargy and break his opponents resolve. Until then, Roberto Martinezs men were competing, trading chances with the champions and pressing a United midfield and forward line which — except for Rooney and the industrious Darren Fletcher — seemed worryingly containable.

Rooneys goal woke Dimitar Berbatov, who scored a fine one of his own and helped Rooney notch a second before Owen struck. In stoppage time Nani exposed Chris Kirklands poor positioning with a crafty free kick and suddenly Wigan faced their record Premier League defeat.

While it remained 0-0, doubts created by Wednesdays defeat at Burnley still hung over United. You always look for a response, said Ferguson.

Were not going to kill ourselves because of it but were going to take reminders from it. It shouldnt have happened but it did happen and the players had to do something about it. Owens strike pleased him particularly. The striker, introduced for Rooney, tailored his run expertly to the needs of Nani who required time to manoeuvre into a position from which he could deliver a telling ball, something the Portuguese, in his most mature United performance to date, did with aplomb. The pass found Owen in a pocket of space no bigger than a picnic-rug, with Kirkland fast advancing. His ed finish was instant, sending the ball home via the far post.

Fantastic goal, great run, the movement was excellent, Ferguson slavered. Michael has been Englands best goalscorer over the last decade and he proved that today. It will do him the world of good. Rooney — marvellously for England — is adopting his colleagues predatory mien. Goal No 100 came via a cross by Antonio Valencia. Rooneys next strike went in off Mario Melchiots shins after Berbatov found him in the box.

Berbatov looked typically enervated before scoring and energised thereafter. In a give-and-go with Paul Scholes he reached Scholes chipped pass, flicked it over Kirkland and hooked home the bouncing ball. Their first goal affected us too much psychologically, said Martinez. It was two different games.

Though Berbatov (misdirecting a header), Scholes (miscuing a drive) and Rooney (foiled by Kirkland) missed first-half chances, Wigan also made opportunities. Jason Koumas caught Gary Neville flat-footed in possession and smacked in a swerving shot that Ben Foster, fully extended, pushed away.

Foster made an even better save to repel Hugo Rodallegas looping header immediately after Rooney scored for 1-0. Forget Owen being back, Nemanja Vidic returned and that, fundamentally, is far more significant for United. With him leading their backline, United gained an urance in defence missing while he was out with an ankle injury. Titus Bramble executed a fine interception to stop Berbatov scoring but Vidics tackle on Charles NZogbia, with the midfielder poised to run clear, was just as good.

Rodallega made the mistake of roughing up Foster and appeared to suffer off-the-ball retribution from Vidic and his elbows. Rodallega will bully plenty of defences but not one containing the Serb. For strikers it must be like jousting with a malevolent pair of giant scissors.

WIGAN: Kirkland 6, Melchiot 6, Scharner 6, Bramble 7, Figueroa 7, NZogbia 6 (Scotland 73min), Thomas 5, Diame 5 (McCarthy 74min), Koumas 6 (Sinclair 62min), Gomez 6, Rodallega 6

MAN UTD: Foster 7, Neville 5, Vidic 8, Evans 7 (OShea 72min), Evra 7, Valencia 5, Fletcher 6, Scholes 5 (Gibson 72min), Nani 7, Rooney 8 (Owen 71min), Berbatov 7

Pinch me in my dreams cause i’m still not listening

Jigsaw pattern dominoes left a trail
The whites of their eyes polaroids of the tale

Wu Tang Clan It’s Yourz, Track 11 off the album Wu-Tang Forever.

[Verse One: Raekwon the Chef]

Machine gun rap for all my niggaz in the back
Stadium packed, linebacker nigga flashback
See through yellow lines
Rock a fly jersey in the summertime God
Magic marker rap, bleed Benatton
Relaxed, wrote this, comin at cha crab cope
and snatch ya ice off, chillin in the back, throw the lights off
Waves, water blend, rhyme flow in slow motion
Thick snare, I’m feelin like a snail in the ocean
What’s your wish? Wanna Kringle like Kris?
Melodic single, dark snap a nigga just like fish
You ed up, some rich niggaz you done test yo
Select the wrong apartment, and niggaz pulled up your dress
Style molest that, canal chain nigga where ya vest at
Flex’ll make me wanna bless that, yo
Saddam Hu-sane niggaz light the torch, we flamin niggaz
Autograph that, flatten all the main niggaz

[Chorus:]

[All] It’s Yourz!
[RZA] The world in the palm of your hand
[All] It’s Yourz!
[RZA] Twenty-three million of useful land
[All] It’s Yourz!
[RZA] The seed and the black wo-man
[All] It’s Yourz!
[RZA] Double LP from Wu-Tang Clan
[All] It’s Yourz! (2X)

[Verse Two: U-God]

Yo, super freak physique. like Raphael Saadiq
Baby love the ganja leaf, everday of the week
Super friends wake up, deluxe gourmet beats
The night is right, I might find me a suite
It’s a quarter full moon, now I ride with my swoon
Well groomed, dance hall packed, full room
Lady move, peep my glide, peep my zoom
Keep in stride, smoke the lah smoke the boom
Feel the fumes, consume toxic tunes
Hell bound, species forty ounce typhoon
The ultra-violet scream machine move your body touch
The totem pole wobble Ark builders God rush
Beams of light, stop ya breathin — it’s huntin season
Honey eye-ballin down for no reason
Grab her close, play post, wind and wax floors
Never mind the laws, cause tonight
[All] It’s Yourz

[Verse Three: RZA]

Stop the fader of the RAM, pass my watts through my pre-amp
Them can’t stress the beat vamp the ‘ll get blam
at full throttle, hot lead propels throughout my nozzle
Crack your soul like bottles, leave you stiff as models
You , you couldn’t pull one drag — off my blunt
You couldn’t punch your way out of a wet paper bag
with scissors in your hands — , the RZA
I stand close to walls, like number four the lizard
Enchant a few solar panels, blast off like Roman Candles
Rap vandals, stomp your like Randall McDaniel
You er spaniel dogs, can’t with our catalog
Put your lights out and leave your brain inside a fog

[Verse Four: Inspectah Deck]

It’s only natural, actual facts are thrown at you
The impact’ll blow trees back and crack statues
Million dollar rap crews fold, check the sick
explicit, I crystalize the rhyme so you can sniff it
We live this, fitted hats low conceal the Crooked I
No surprise, verbal stick up — put em high
Rebel I, outlaw, split second on the draw
Blow the door off this , like bricks of C-4

[Chorus]

[Verse Five: Ghostface]

Check out my beaver, baby blue glock in the safe
Seems Darthy and the God and get ski roll weight
We hold a belt Son, that’s my word
Spot a rapper run him down, throw him out in the third, yo check it
I think like the man behind a register
Evergreen smokin estates, rhyme and power made me treasurer
With third down, six to go flash his strobe lights
I’m open RZA hit me off lovely and I love him
With root beer thoughts, here’s a tennis court
for your birthday, the babyface of rap politic with Sade
Avenging eagle crooks rock the “W” and “Spiegel” books
Annheiser Busch kings came through, and stopped your whole jooks
Spitfire Kangols, watch Tony train a gang of hoes
Painful like hearin the news, like when your man go
Ends blow, windy at times watch the room sheisty girl
Love to sit out this song, now watch your water break

[Chorus: latter 1/2]

ATDI last album was released in 2001 on Grand Royal / Virgin records.

First major label album. Produced by Ross Robinson. Did he invent nu-metal ?

Anyways, Relationship of Command is a great album. It’s loud and urgent and very passionate. The lyrics are smart. The band have great chemistry. The big budget production doesn’t make it sound like a sell out album. A good album to start on if you’re new to the band.

Songs themes deal with drug cartels, immigration, murder, drug wars and some religious references.

Very much so like an alt. punk/rock Rage Against The Machine, but better than that. ATDI sounds more sincere and earnest. The songwriting is top notch. they switch tempos and moods very frequently.

Mars Volta fans should give it a spin to check out their hardcore/ hard rock roots.

A mixed media art work for my niece and nephew and for their mother, Bridgette. Happy Birthday Bridgette. I love you BTTS. XXOO

* NOTE–This video is another excerpt from the hour long film I am making of the kids and their October weekend at my house.

* Thanks to Gary Reef for the texture technique. Check out his channels:

* Chocolate is my addiction and these two children are as sweet as chocolate to me. Although children are resilient, at the same time they are very fragile. We must be good to the children, love them dearly and give them good solid foundations and adults whom they can trust. We must protect the children from real life monsters. These two beautiful children, they BOTH have my heart and always will. They carry their rainbows with, wherever they go. Love BTTS XXXOOO,
Aunt Kimmy

DIRECTIONS & SUPPLIES FOR MASK:
SUPPLIES:

* Plaster of Paris cloth
* scissors
* warm water
* Vaseline
* A face. Yours, your child’s or a friends. This works with all faces. You can even do faces with beards, as long as you apply enough vaseline!

DIRECTIONS:

* Cut all strips of cloth into all sorts of different sizes. Cut plenty, and organize strips by size. You will need to work quickly as the plaster hardens fast, so you want to be fully prepared ahead of time.

* Generously apply vaseline to face. (Wear a hair band) If the plaster dries on your hair it hurts when you pull off the mask!

* Dip plaster pieces in warm water and start applying (quickly and smoothly) to face. Do not cover nostrils!

* Once mask is hardened (about 10 minutes) carefully lossen mask all around edges and remove.

* Now go have fun and decorate your mask!
