It seems that most of the businessman’s in America have found an alternate career option in Politics. Just days after the CEO of WWE, Linda McMahon quit her post to join politics, another business tycoon has decided to go on a similar path.
Farouk Shami, the owner of a billion-dollar business in North Houston has announced his plans to file Democratic nomination for governor. This hair care king whose products are top of the line “Made in the U.S.A,” is very much passionate about improving the condition of the state of Texas. And he thinks that solving the problem of unemployment will lead to the development of the state.
The 66 year old businessman said, “I am about jobs, jobs, jobs. We must find a job for every unemployed person who wants to work. I am capable of doing that. The current government doesn’t know how to do this. The state is being run by politicians with old ideas and old promises.”
Shami came to the United States in 1965 and built his business from scratch. His hairstyling and beauty-care products are amongst the best in the world. But with the availability of quality products at home, such as Scissorboy Ultra Shears, he is planning to manufacture the parts and ingredients in Texas, which are currently being imported from China. He sees this as another means to provide employment to the local residents of the state for the overall development.
But the question is – Whether Texas is ready for a Palestinian governor?
He does claim to be an American, but the man who comes from Muslim and Catholic religions will have to fight it hard against his challengers. It’s too early to give a verdict now as there will be more news and more revelations that would come up during the election process.
