Don’t go to much to the top. Just go below the ears. Actuallyy where the ear starts and smoothly go down and thas ALLLL

Yes, it will make it poofy especially if you thin it close to the scalp, which you should never do. If you just thin it very little in certain areas around the head you should be fine. I know what you mean, I have the same problem. I thinned my hair close to my head one time so bad that I ended up having to have it cut really, really short to repair it. You can go to a good hairdresser and the can "chip it in" to thin it this is a better method for my hair. Good luck.
