Quick question about thinning shear...

I have thick, straight hair. I recently just cut my hair, and I want to texurize it. Would it be best if i used the thinning shears on wet or dry hair?

whenever my hair stylist thins my hair/texturizes it, my hair is always dry and i go to a professional place so they know what they are doing. if you want some help or have a question about texturizing it, i put a website under "Source(s)"

wet hair, if you do it dry it will rip and hurt you.. plus its better for the hair to do it when wet

I have not used thinning shears personally,
but my hair stylist at the salon has thinned my thick hair out with them.
I noticed she used them on my hair when it was wet, right after she trimmed my hair. I think it makes it easier to thin the hair when it is wet as opposed to dry.

always wet hair! but make sure you have a professional who knows what theyre doing, some people just dont know how to use thinning shears.

If you recently got your hair cut & you are pleased you should go back to the stylist & ask them to do it for you. This is not an undertaking for a novice. The stylist will probably do it for free since they want to keep your business. They cannot afford to lose customers especially this day & time.

Some stylist used thinning shears…more experienced stylist can do it with their cutting shears. If you must do it yourself use a light touch. You can always take more off…you just can’t replace it. Do it with hair wet. Style as usual then determine if more needs to be cut.
