I want to get my hair thinned out a bit because I have so much of it, but when you get it thinned, does it make it all different lengths? Because I'm trying to grow out my layers.

Layers are good to help thin out hair so maybe reconsider growing them out, and keep them instead.
Thinning scissors take a bit of length off the ends making them kind off choppy so yes it might make it different different lengths.

You could always try smoothing serums if you change your mind about getting it cut :)
