Umm...shearing wool from sheep is not the gruesome procedure you've spelt out there. It also does not kill the sheep. The ones that are killed are the ones that are reared for their meat and not their wool. Some of the others have already expanded on these points. P.S. At least be somewhat educated about the subject that you're talking about if you're going to jump on a bandwagon.

Uggs are good to wear when your feet are super cold and you are super lazy to tie your shoes. The only stupid thing I find about Uggs is the fact that girls don't wear them it's cold, they wear them with booty shorts, it's like are you stupid? Those are meant to keep you warm. Worst fashion statement EVER!

Oh, and Uggs are short for Ugly. Hahaha, I got that from VH1.

ok, first of all, this question is spam, because if this askers profile werent set as private, you would see that this is all the ask, word for word, every day. i think we will probably see this question three more times in the next half hour or so. be prepared.

furthermore, YES! you do use sheepskin to make the stupid uggs, it says so right on the tag, so people, please stop saying its just wool.

that is besides the point though because this user is acting like the rest of the animal is just thrown out, when in reality, its freaking not, the rest of the animal is used for food.

mulesing isnt even used any more in most countries and the countries that DO use it are trying to phase it out. this process isnt even used on the sheep that are used for uggs, but if you did one minute of actual research rather than qouting biased websites word for word, you would know this.

get a life. if your going to take a stand against something, find a route where people that matter are actually going to hear you, and make sure that when you find them you have your facts straight because we do not need to read the same freaking question 20 times in two days. grow up

and to the girl below me who said uggs are designer, talk to an austrailian. they are made there, and were originally used as work boots and no one there can figure out how they ever became popular. i know people in austrailia.

I will tell you the truth my daddy is a farmer they do hurt the sheep sometimes every once in awile but most of the time they just take all of the wool of they get cut in the process but only every once in a blue moon

i thkn that those are the MOST HIDIOUS thing son the planet.
they shouldnt make those becuase they soak thourgh and into your feet in the winter.
and youre right.
there killing the sheep just to make these messed up boots.
